9 – Turn Darkness Into Light – Melissa Bernstein

Hey Girls,

In today’s episode, I talk with Melissa Bernstein. Melissa is the co-founder of the toy company Melissa and Doug, has created thousands of toys, is the mother of six children and to everyone looking at her from the outside, is the epitome of success. But as I’ve taught you girls, just because a person looks a certain way on the outside, doesn’t mean that they feel the same way on the inside. Today Melissa shares with us about the existential depression that has been a part of her life from the beginning, a topic she recently wrote a book about.

Love you girls. – Dad

8 – Life Is An End In Itself – Norman Lloyd

Hey Girls,

In today’s episode, I talk with Norman Lloyd. Norman is 103 years old. He is an actor, producer, and director with a career in entertainment spanning 80 years. He has worked in every major facet of the industry including radio, theatre, television and film dating back to the Great Depression and has worked with legends like Orson Wells, Jean Renoir, Alfred Hitchcock, and Charlie Chaplin.

Now that’s what Wikipedia says about him. Here’s what I say: he’s one of the loveliest men I have ever met and I could sit and listen to his stories for days. Enjoy!

7 – 10,000 NOs – Matthew Del Negro

Hey Girls,

In today’s episode, I talk with Matt Del Negro. Matt is a veteran actor, the host of a podcast called 10,000 NOs, and an all-around great guy. I met Matt in an acting class and he was actually the catalyst for me starting this podcast, the one for you guys. 6 – If You Don’t Have Regrets, You Didn’t F***ing Do Anything – Mike Hirst

Hey Girls,

In today’s episode, I talk with Mike Hirst. He’s a gruff, good-looking guy in his 50s who can still kick anybody’s ass. Before asking Mike to sit down and talk, I didn’t know him that well. We go to the same gym, chat every once in a while, he’s shown me some cool Jujizu moves that I can never remember, and everyone knows he’ll tell you exactly what he thinks, all you have to do is ask. Life has definitely been a rocky road for him, with high highs and low lows.

The one thing I did know about Mike was that he was involved in the marijuana business – before it was legal in the state of California. So that’s where we started, with him telling me how he got into the pot business and you won’t believe where his story goes from there.

I love you. – Dad

5 – Living In A House Of Mirrors – Kathy Christopher

Hey Girls,

In today’s episode, I talk with Kathy Christopher. I first met Kathy about 15-20 years ago when she was a pastor at a church that I used to go to. And even though I don’t have the same beliefs now that I did then, Kathy is the type of person that I respect. We talk a lot about marriage, loving others, mirrors, unmet expectations, regret – it was basically a therapy session that Daddy didn’t have to pay for.

3 – Influence Is A Mother F***er – Cesar Garcia

Hey girls,

In today’s episode, Daddy chats with Cesar Garcia. I talked him because he has a perspective, a background, a life experience that you will never have. You know who your dad is. You didn’t grow up on the streets of East LA. You weren’t in a gang. But you will deal with influence. You will deal with obstacles. You will learn that life is not easy. But then again, is it really meant to be?

Cesar is generous and passionate, and I am so excited for you to hear his story.

Love you, -Dad

We talk about a lot of things including how we met, what she was like as a kid, who she is now as an adult, family, work, life, purpose, and “leaning into it.” Enjoy.

I love you. – Dad
